Within the parent portal, we will add a box called My Child. This is where the parent will view any student components the user has permission to view.
Design
- On the main dashboard, the user will see a section called My Child.
- Here we will show the name of each student assigned to the user and the student's grade.
- Next to the student's name, the user will see a down arrow. Clicking on this reveals a link to
- Log into Student Center
- View Student's Credentials
- View Lesson Library
- View Progress
- View File Cabinet
- Clicking Log into Student Center will log the user out and log the student in
- Clicking on View Student's Credentials will reveal pop up asking the user to re-type their password
- Once the user retypes the password, they will see the student's username and password.
- Clicking on View Lesson Library will take the user to the Lesson Library.
- Clicking on View Progress will take the user to the student's View Progress area.
- Clicking on View File Cabinet takes the user to the student's file cabinet.
- The user will also see the number of lessons assigned. Clicking on this will take the user to the student's learning plan.
- The user will see the number of behaviors on the student's behavior plan. Clicking on this will take the user to the student's behavior plan area.
- The user will see the number of assignments in the student center. Clicking on this will take the user to the Assignment Page.
Business Rules
- Users with permission to View Parent Portal and assigned to at least 1 student will see the My Child box. Here the user will see all students they are assigned to.
- Navigation buttons are dependent on permission settings and components allocated.
