Students need to be able to view completed activities and make edits if needed.

User Story: As a student, I want to view an activity sent to my teacher and fix any mistakes I made, so I can ensure I’m doing my best work.

Acceptance Criteria:

  • Given I am a student who has completed an activity, when I click view for a completed/submitted activity from either the Completed this Month or Activities tab, I should see my completed activity.

  • Given I am a student who is viewing a completed quiz, I should see my quiz score on the view completed activity screen.

  • Given I am a student who is viewing a completed activity, when I click the Edit button, I should be taken to the complete activity screen.

View Activity

UI

  • When the student clicks the View button for a submitted activity from either the Completed this Month or Activities tab,

  • They will be taken to the view completed activity screen.

  • Here the student will see a copy of the completed activity submitted to the teacher.

  • On this screen, we will show the assignment name and completed date

  • If the student is viewing a completed quiz, we will also show the quiz score

  • If the student clicks the edit button,

  • They will see a confirmation message asking them if they are sure they want to continue. If they click yes, they will be taken to the edit activity screen. If they click no, the pop-up will close and they will remain on the view screen.

Business Rules

  • Students may view any completed/submitted activity

  • Score will show for quizzes only

  • Quizzes and Assessments may not be edited. The edit button should only show for lesson activities.

  • If the student opts to edit the activity, the status of the activity will be reset to In Progress on the Activities Tab.

Edit Activity

UI

  • Once the student has clicked the edit button, they will see the complete activity screen

  • This screen will show the activity with all marks previously made

  • The student may click on the tools associated with the activity to make changes to the worksheet

  • If the student clicks on the reset button, all changes will be erased, and the screen will revert to a blank worksheet.

  • If the student clicks the submit button, they will see a confirmation message asking them if they are sure they want to submit to the teacher. If the student clicks yes, the activity will be marked complete. If the student clicks no, the activity will remain in progress.

Business Rules

  • If the student clicks the submit button and confirms they would like to submit, we will save this new version as the student’s completed version in the student center. In Manage Assignments, the teacher will see both submitted versions.

  • If the student does not submit the assignment, we will save their changes. This assignment is now considered In Progress on the Activities tab.
