Question: What should the “Goal Zone” page include? How does it impact the Intervention Plan Page?

Background Information: Goal Zone is meant as a Classroom Report for any goals that have been created. From a Special Education standpoint, categories of goals are:

  • IEP

  • GIEP (need to be able to access content higher than grade level: IP issues with only grade level content?)

  • 504

  • and what else?

    • just tracking a goal? ability to change the categories, especially if there is a need to elevate to an IP or even an a preliminary data documentation trail leading to an IEP or 504?

An important note is that some students with IEPs take the screener so their test scores are part of the Tier system: Tier Notices/Recommendations/At risk and Approaching Indicators / Intervention Plans. Other students with IEP may not take the screener so they are currently collected as “No Data” within MTSS.

Does this extend the goal categories to include:

  • Intervention Plans?
