How Observation time is Calculated

Observation time on the Rethink Mobile App is defined as the time that the user selects and adds skills or behavior programs to the “Record Client Data” page of the app to when that user either manually de-selects said program or behavior plan from the “Record Client data" page or data has successfully been synced at the end of the therapy session.

Select the client for data collection. Go to SELECT PROGRAMS and tap the black arrow.

Tap the arrow next to BEHAVIORS to view behaviors available for data collection. Tap the box to the right of the behavior to select for data collection.

A staff can select one or multiple behaviors for data collection.

Tap the arrow in top right corner after selecting behaviors to begin the observation period for selected behavior(s).

By tapping the arrow, the observation period has started.

Collect data on behavior target(s).

If a staff wishes to stop the observation period for a particular behavior, tap the orange arrow in the left corner to access SELECT PROGRAMS

Tap the black arrow to the left of BEHAVIORS

Deselect the behavior(s) to stop the observation period.

Staff can select and deselect behavior(s) one-time during session to start and stop the observation period for a particular behavior(s).

Tap the orange arrow in the top right corner to continue collecting data.

Continue collecting data on selected behavior target(s).

The deselected behavior has now been removed from data collection.

After a target behavior has been deselected, the recorded data on the deselected target behavior will remain on the local device and will sync when the staff members chooses to do so at the end of the session.

After syncing data on the mobile app, a staff can check the BEHAVIOR DETAILS to see the data collected during the observation period.

BEHAVIOR DETAILS can also be viewed on the website by selecting VIEW DATA when in DATA ENTRY.

How Interval Data is Calculated

On the Mobile app, interval data collection can be conducted for both skills and behavior plans. Across the three interval recording types, Partial Interval, Whole Interval and Momentary Time Sample, you can adjust your mobile app settings to allow for interval times for skills and behaviors to automatically start at the beginning of a session or for interval times to be in the off position at the beginning of a session. While in a session staff can manually stop and reset interval timers for programs as desired.
