Allows the user to collect ABC data for a behavior that is not currently being targeted within Behavior Support.

How to create placeholder:

  1. Go to Behavior Support

  2. Click “Add behavior

  3. Enter the “Behavior name” as New Behavior or Novel Behavior

  4. Enter “Plan name

  5. Enter “Start Date” as the first day data collection occurred or will occur

  6. Click “Create Plan

How to collect data for New Behavior or Novel Behavior:

  1. In Data Entry on the website, click “ABC log”. On the mobile app, Tap “ABC

  2. Tap “New Behavior or Novel Behavior

  3. Complete required fields

  4. Click “Notes” and type in the following information:

    1. Label the New Behavior

    2. Describe what the behavior looks like (topography) with as much detail as possible

BCBA/Supervisor Tips:

  1. Check the New Behavior or Novel Behavior raw details on a regular basis (~1x a week or as needed). Based on information provided, the BCBA/supervisor can determine if a new target behavior should be added to Behavior Support.

  2. Be sure to train staff to include as much details as possible in the “Notes” field.
