Spanish Materials Toggle

User Stories

As an educator who works with Spanish speaking students I need a way to change the language in the materials to Spanish so that I can have access to materials in the language of my choice.

UI

  • On the Prep and Preview screen, the user sees English version.

  • To view the links, titles, and materials in the Spanish language, the user clicks “Spanish” on the English/Spanish language toggle

Acceptance Criteria

  • Given the user has access to SEL/SEL and/or Mental Health and permission to Goal Library → View, then they will see the Spanish/English toggle and Spanish materials on the Lesson Library Prep and Preview page.

  • Content has provided a spreadsheet for the Spanish Prep and Preview toggle materials.

  • Total Spanish materials for the Lesson Library Prep and Preview Page:

    • 390 Lesson Plan pdfs

    • 390 Home Letter pdfs

    • 390 Academic Connections pdfs

    • 390 Materials pdfs

    • about 68 Tier 2 Materials pdfs

    • about 130 ppts (if possible)

  • Given the user wants to navigate to the Prep and Preview screen, they will follow the path: Program Tools → Lesson Library → View Library → Change “All Lessons” filter to SEL → Three Dots → Prep and Preview

  • The Prep and Preview screen will default to the English language in the language toggle (See Image: Lesson Overview English)

  • Given the user has English selected on the language toggle, they will only see the links and materials in the English language.

    • Given the user has English selected on the language toggle, they will not see the links or materials in Spanish.

  • Given the user has clicked Spanish on the language toggle, they will see the names for the links in English with Spanish in parentheses (See image: Lesson Overview Spanish).

  • When the Spanish language is selected on the toggle, the user should see the materials in Spanish when they click on the links.

UI

  • The user clicks “Spanish” in the language toggle to change the materials to Spanish.

  • The user will click on the link to open the Spanish materials.

  • If the user clicks a link, the user will be directed to a standard PDF preview page to view the Spanish materials.

  • The user clicks the printer icon to print the materials.

Acceptance Criteria

  • Given the user clicked “Spanish” in the language toggle, the materials will be in Spanish when the user clicks on the link to open it (See Image: Spanish Links).
