Phase I Notes
Clever:
For our shared Clever customers, it will be ideal if Vizzle can keep their SSO integrations in place, so we do not have to migrate all users to Rethink SSO, and rework landing page options.
This will allow users to log into the platform of choice the same way that they have been.
SSO only through Clever should be free.
For customers that are using Clever rostering for both Rethink and Vizzle, we should be able to use the same data to match users from one platform to the other. (Easier Crosswalk)
If we cannot keep SSO through Clever for Vizzle, then they will need to migrate to the Rethink Ed App.
Users who have accounts in Vizzle but not in Rethink Ed should land in their Vizzle homepage.
Users who exist in both platforms will land in Rethink, and have the option to click a second SSO button to get to Vizzle.
Schoology/Canvas:
Users will continue to be able to access the respective platform via existing Schoology/Canvas integrations.
SSO Between Rethink and Vizzle:
We must have matching identifiers between Rethink and Vizzle profile data. Could be email address for educators, SIS ID/StateTestNo for students. We will need to work with districts to coordinate crosswalks, and make sure that IDs match between two platforms.
SSO will need to be siloed to district pool - ie if a student from Broward and a student from Clayton have the same SIS ID in their respective district, they cannot land in the same account.
All educators will see SSO button to the other platform in their home page.
If they click it and there is a matching record for them in the district/email/identifier, then they will land in their home page.
If they click it and do not have a matching account in the other platform, they will see a marketing message.
Students will only see the SSO option in their homepage if there is already a matching account for them in the other platform. We would like to avoid giving kids the option to SSO between platforms if we know that it will not work for them. This will help reduce confusion.
All users will continue to have the option to log in via either platform’s login page if they have manual credentials established.
Merging Student Centers:
There is concern that we cannot merge SPED student centers prior to BTS 2021. Work can begin on this in Phase II.
