Geo-tagging Appointment Verification Locations

This feature is the result of user feedback requesting a way to capture the "location" of where the staff and/or parent verifications occurred.


IMPORTANT: Users will need to provide permission for Rethink's site to access their location. The "location services" will need to be enabled on any device.

If you want to use the GPS tagging feature we recommend you provide communication to your staff of your expectations and policies around enabling "location" services on their devices.

  • Users must be connected to the internet when using the mobile version of Scheduler
  • A pop-up may display by the mobile device OS asking users for permission to share his location
  • Permission must be provided in order for the GPS feature to work.

TIP: For offline functionality users can now verify appointments in Rethink's mobile APP (appointments must be added to schedule first)

  • When opening the staff verification and parent verification screen on the mobile website and tapping on "Verify" button, the website will attempt to capture the location of the mobile device.
  • The captured location will be added to the staff verification AND parent verification automatically. 

GPS location details:


  • Nearest street, city and zip code will display above the image of Google maps and the vicinity of the location.


After the staff and/or parent verify the appointment, the screen of the appointment display will look as follows:

  • A pop-up may display by the device for permission to share his location
  • Permission must be provided in order for the GPS feature to work.
  • The captured location will be added to the parent verification automatically if the user has enabled their "location services" for Rethink's website.
  • When choosing the staff verification and clicking on "Verify", the website will attempt to capture the location

 

  • When completing the Parent Verification and clicking "SAVE" the website will attempt to capture the location

3. Scheduler- Appointment View

In the staff verification and parent verification windows the address and google map icon will appear

4. Appointment List

  1. If the address was captured when verifying there will be a "red map pin" icon in the Staff and/or Guardian Verification columns
  2. Hover over new icon in the Staff and Guardian Verification columns to see the specific address detail
  3. Geotagging location can also be viewed in the Appointment List Export

5. Individual Calendar Desktop
