Option to Save Note in DRAFT MODE | To save a Session Note in Draft Mode: Select Save Draft | A session note saved in Draft Mode will not count towards your company billable appointment requirements. You must select “Submit” note for it to be counted towards the billable requirement. Only session notes that are submitted will be saved in the Client filing cabinet. The auto-save feature will save a staff’s note as a draft note after 5 minutes regardless of activity or inactivity

Last Saved Display: | The original submission date and time will remain as the timestamp of the completed session note displayed at the bottom of the session note | Each time the note is saved, the timestamp on the top left-hand side of the session note will update. The original submission date will continue to be reported on the bottom of the session note display, although the last saved date/time may be different

Submit Note | To submit your final note Select Submit Note | The action Submit Note is the final saving action of your note. Once a note is submitted, the session note requirement will be met and will be saved in the client file cabinet in their Session Notes folder. Once a note has been submitted, if the note needs to be edited - Submit Note will be the only save option

Edit Note | To edit a session note: Select EDIT NOTE Then make any applicable changes When ready, select Submit Note | When a session note has been edited, the Last Saved timestamp will now update based on the last date & time the session note was saved If Edit Note is selected auto-save will initiate after 5 minutes regardless of activity or inactivity

Mark As Reviewed | To Mark a note Reviewed Select Mark as Reviewed | The Mark as Reviewed button will appear once a session note has been submitted Recommended: Best practice is for supervisor’s to use the Mark as Reviewed feature to document session notes they have reviewed. Please contact your System Admin with any questions related to your internal process for reviewing notes

Delete Note | To delete an entire session note Select Delete Note then select Continue | Once a note is deleted - the note will be deleted at the appointment level only. If the session note was previously submitted and saved to the client filing cabinet, you will also need to delete that version. If you do not have permission to delete a session note, please contact your System Admin to confirm your permissions. The permission required to delete a session note is:

Communicate via Comments | Communicate with your team by leaving a comment Type your comment and select Save Comment Once submitted, your comment will display as well as your name and the date & time you left the comment If you need to clear out any already typed comments (If any) Select Clear | |
Locate Draft Session notes in the Appointment List | Go to Appointment List Select filter for Session Note Status: Draft Then sort appointment’s according to session note status such as: Draft | Session Notes in Draft format due to loss of data or connectivity issues can be recovered if users are permissioned to access Session Note Drafts.
