Review Assignment (Add Interactive SEL Activities)

We need to create a screen that allows teachers to view the submitted assignment and mark items as reviewed.

User Story: As a teacher, I want to view worksheets my students completed, so I can provide feedback and ensure they are strengthening their SEL skills.

General Concept

UI

  • When a user clicks on a student name, Needs Review, or Reviewed button from the Manage Specific Assignments page, they will see a pop-up modal showing what the student submitted.

  • We will show a sub-heading formatted as Domain Name | Area Name | Assignment Type | Grade | Tier Level

  • If the user clicks Print, we will open a printable PDF of the assignment

  • If the user clicks the File Cabinet icon, we will save a copy of this assignment to the student’s file cabinet

  • If the user clicks Mark as reviewed, we will update this item to the Reviewed state.

  • If the item has already been marked as reviewed, we will show the item as Reviewed. If the user clicks Undo, it will return to the not reviewed state & the user will see the Mark as Reviewed button again.

  • If the user clicks in the discussion window, any previously sent/received messages related to this assignment will show.

  • If there are no previous messages related to this assignment, they will see the empty state

 

Business Rules

  • Student Name will show the student’s first and last name

  • Domain name will show the lesson domain associated with the item

  • Area will show the lesson area associated with the item. For mental health items, this will not show.

  • Assignment Type will show Activity. Other assignment types will be added next.

  • Grade will show the grade associated with the item

  • Tier will show the tier(s) associated with the item. For mental health, this will not show.

  • If the item has not been reviewed, we will show the mark as reviewed button

  • If the item has been reviewed, we will show the Reviewed icon and the undo button
