Authoring Tool Intervention Library - New Admin Portal

User Story

As a RethinkEd content creator, I want to utilize an authoring tool to create strategy cards for the intervention strategies that are included in the Intervention Library.

 

UI

  • The user navigates to Content Library > Activities > “Strategy Cards” in the admin portal

  • The user views the list of created Intervention Strategy cards

  • The table columns will include:

    • Intervention Strategy Title

    • Subject

    • Grade(s)

  • The user clicks Add Activity button

  • The user clicks Intervention Strategy

  • The user clicks Next button

 

  • The Intervention Strategy Cards page opens

    • The default view is the Details tab selected

  • The user views the Detail tab of the Intervention Strategy screen that displays:

    • Intervention Strategy Title input

    • Intervention Strategy Short Description input

    • Subject

      • The user single selects a subject: ELA, Math, Behavior, or SEL

    • Intervention Type

      • The user single selects an intervention for the Intervention Strategy to be linked to

      • Intervention dropdown menu correlates to Interventions tied to the Subjects and Goals

    • Grade(s)

      • The user selects Grade(s) for the Intervention Strategy to correspond to for ELA, Math, SEL

      • The Grade(s) selection will be inactive if the user selects Behavior as the subject.

 

  • The user clicks the Content tab

  • The user enters text in the Intervention Strategy Name input field to create a title

  • The user enters texts into the Short Description field that will display on the Intervention Strategy Card in the modal in the MTSS Intervention Plan

  • The user enters text into the Intervention Strategy Text Boxes that will display on the HTML Render

  • The user clicks “Upload File” button under Supplemental Materials heading to attach videos, PowerPoints, PDF documents, JPEG, and PNG materials

  • The user clicks “Cancel” button and returns to the Intervention Strategy list with no changes saved

  • The user clicks “Update” button and the Intervention Strategy is saved and added to the Intervention Strategy list.

  • The user clicks Preview to Preview the HTML strategy card

  • The user clicks Choose button to select a file that was previously uploaded

  • The user clicks Upload button to select a file from their computer

  • The newly created Intervention Strategy Card is added to the Intervention Strategy Card list.

  • The user clicks “Edit” to open and modify the Intervention Strategy Card information

  • The user clicks “Delete” to delete the Intervention Strategy card from the list and also the Intervention in the MTSS Intervention Plan.

Main Text Display:

  • The user clicks the Details button

  • The HTML page opens to display the Intervention Strategy Main Text

  • The H1 heading will be the Intervention Strategy Name

  • If it is an ELA, Math, or SEL intervention strategy, the grade band(s) will be included below the heading

  • The page will display the sections with headings and body text:

    • What is it?

    • How does it work?

    • Application

    • Intervention Resources

  • On the right side, there will be an “Intervention Resources” section that will have all supplemental materials attached

    • The user clicks the intervention resource to open it in a separate page or application

 

 

 

 

Acceptance Criteria

  • The Strategy Card authoring tool should be accessible through the admin portal so we need to add: Content > Strategy Cards

  • Given the user opens the Intervention Strategy Cards screen, they should see the list of created Intervention Strategies.

  • The table columns will include:

    • Intervention Strategy ID

    • Intervention Strategy Name

    • Short Description

    • Grade(s)

    • Subject

  • Given the user clicks “Add Activity” button, the “Add Intervention Strategy” screen will open.

  • The user selects “Intervention Strategy” and clicks the Next button

 

Add Intervention Strategy

  • There will be a “Subject” input field at the top of the screen.

  • Upon entering the screen, all input fields and dropdown menus will be active.

  • I should be able to single select ELA, Math, Behavior, or SEL in the Subject dropdown menu.

  • The Intervention Type dropdown menu will contain the list of Interventions defined in the Goal-Intervention Bank settings that correspond to each subject:

    • ELA

    • Math

    • Behavior

    • SEL

  • The Intervention Type selection should be single-select for each Intervention available.

  • Given I select ELA, Math, or SEL in the Subject dropdown menu, the “Grade(s)” input field will be active.

  • Given I select Behavior in the Subject dropdown menu, the “Grade(s)” input field will be inactive.

  • The Grade(s) dropdown selection should be multi-select from the options.

  • The Grade(s) dropdown selection should be:

    • Grades PreK-2

    • Grades 3-5

    • Grades 6-8

    • Grades 9-12

    • Transitional

  • Given the user clicks into the “Intervention Strategy Name” input field, they should be able to enter text to write a name for the intervention strategy.

  • Given the user clicks into the “Short Description" input field, they should be able to enter text to write a short description.

    • The short description should show on the intervention strategy card in the Goal-Intervention modal in the MTSS Intervention Plan.

    • There will be a character text limit of ENTER # for the Short Descriptions

  • Given the user clicks to type in the Intervention Strategy Text input field, they will be able to use the WYSWYG editor to customize the text.

  • The user will have the option to choose from the text format:

    • Normal Text

    • Heading 1

    • Heading 2

    • Heading 3

  • The text entered in the Intervention Strategy Text input field will display in the HTML link when the user clicks “Details” button in Goal-Intervention modal in MTSS Intervention Plan

  • The user should be able to upload supplemental materials that will show in the Intervention Resources section of the HTML document

  • Given the user clicks “Upload File” button, they should be able to upload:

    • Videos

    • PowerPoints

    • PDF documents

    • JPEG and PNG files

  • Given the user clicks “Update” button, the Intervention Strategy will be added to the Intervention Strategy list

    • The Intervention Strategy will be automatically linked and added to the selected Intervention Type

    • The Intervention Strategy Card will display under the defined Intervention in the Goal-Intervention modal according to the selected subject in the MTSS Intervention Plan

  • Given the user clicks the “Update” button and there are input fields that are not complete, they will see a validation warning error for the incomplete field.

    • The field header will be red and the box will be red

    • Helper text “Required” will display under the input field

    • The user must complete the missing information in order to save and add the intervention strategy

  • Given the user clicks “Cancel” button, they will return to the Intervention Strategy list.

 

Edit or Delete Intervention Strategy

  • Given the user clicks “Edit” button on an Intervention Strategy in the table list, the “Add Intervention Strategy” screen will open

  • The user should be able to edit each input field for the Intervention Strategy

  • Given the user wants to add grade levels, they will select a grade band from the Grade(s) dropdown menu selection.

  • Given the user wants to remove grade levels, they will click to remove a grade band from the Grade(s) dropdown menu selection.

  • Given the user makes any modifications to the Intervention Strategy, the updates should automatically saved and should be reflected in the Intervention Strategy card in the Goal-Intervention modal in the MTSS Intervention Plan.

  • Given the user clicks “Delete” on an Intervention Strategy, they will see a warning pop-up display to confirm the deletion of the Intervention Strategy

  • Given a user deletes an intervention strategy, it should be removed from the Intervention Strategy list

    • The intervention strategy card will no longer display for the Intervention it was connected to for the MTSS Intervention Plan
