The file student_school_enrollment.txt provides a few pieces of information that aren’t available elsewhere and/or are important enough for us to want to have more than one source for them.

STUDENTS STUDENT_NUMBER
Needed as an identifier, e.g., for linking different data sources.
STUDENTS ENTRYDATE
Date of student enrollment; may be needed in future versions of the MTSS product to adjust metrics such as absence rate for students who transferred into the district (and thus have fewer dates when they could have been recorded as absent).
Note that for any student who was enrolled since the first day of school, this date should give the school year start date. We could find the earliest date in this field as an alternate/additional way to get school year start date.
STUDENTS EXITDATE
Date student left or transferred out of the district. May be helpful for identifying students who should be dropped from our data and/or the MTSS product.
CC SCHOOLID
School identifier; may be helpful as an alternate/additional way to group students into the same school.
