1.1.5.7 Student Behavior Tracking Area (Student Reports) | Data Tracking | MTSS Suite

We need a way to quickly see all of the Behaviors being tracked (both active and inactive) for each student.

User Stories:

  • I am a teacher who needs to view a student’s previously mastered behavior tracking so that I can determine if it can be used again to help the student regain lost skills over the summer.

  • I am a teacher who needs to view a student’s active behaviors being tracked so that I may communicate to the parents the growth the student has achieved for conference day.

 

Acceptance Criteria:

  • Given I am a user with access to Behavior Support OR MTSS interventions (all tools or Behavior Tracking enabled) and permission to Behavior Support > Add/Edit behaviors, I will see the Create new behaviors link.

  • Given I am a user with access to Behavior Support OR MTSS interventions (all tools or Behavior Tracking enabled) and permission to Behavior Support > Add/Edit behaviors, I will see the Record behavior link.

  • Given I am a user with access to Behavior Support OR MTSS interventions (all tools or Behavior Tracking enabled) and permission to Behavior Support > My Students I will be able to view the list of active and inactive behaviors.

  • Given I am a user with access to Behavior Support OR MTSS interventions (all tools or Behavior Tracking enabled) and permission to Behavior Support > View Classrooms and Manage classrooms I will see the list of active and inactive behaviors.

  • Given I am a user who is clicking between the active and inactive tabs, the list for active behaviors will appear under the active tab and the list for inactive behaviors will appear under the inactive tab.

  • Given I am a user who is viewing the inactive behaviors, I will see the date the status of the behavior was changed from active to inactive in order of the most recent date change to the least recent date change.

  • Given I am a user who has added a behavior to the inactive list by selecting DEACTIVATE from either Edit Behaviors to Track OR Create Behaviors to Track they will appear on this list.

  • Given I am a user who is viewing the inactive behaviors, I will see the designation of ARCHIVED or MASTERED based on my selection from Edit Behaviors to Track OR Create behaviors to Track.

  • Given I am a user who has created a behavior to track and it is active, I will see the behavior name I selected in the Create Behaviors to track selection listed under the active tab.

  • Given I am a user who has NOT created any active behaviors to track, the empty state for active behaviors will show.

  • Given I am a user who has NOT created any inactive behaviors for behavior tracking, the empty state for inactive behaviors will show.

  • Given I am a user who selects Create New Behavior, the Select Behavior screen from Create Behaviors to Track will show.

  • Given I am a user who selects Record Behavior, the Behavior Tab landing in Data Express will show.

  • Given I am a user who selects the View button, the View screen for View/Edit Behavior Tracking will show.

Section 1: Active Tab

UI:

  • User enters Student Behavior Tracking area from Student Dashboard landing on Active tab.

  • Alternatively, the user can select Behavior tracking from the side navigation.

 

Active Tab

 

  • To create a new behavior, the user clicks on Create new behavior.

 

  • To record data for an existing behavior, the user clicks on Record behavior.

 

  • To view behavior tracking for a specific actively tracked behavior, the user clicks on view button.

 

 

Business Rules:

  • Given I am a user with access to either Behavior Tracking or MTSS Interventions (all tools or Behavior tracking/Plans enabled) and permission to Data Tracking > Manage Data/Points then I will be able to master, unmaster, delete, and edit data.

  • Given I am a user with access to either Behavior Tracking or MTSS Interventions (all tools or Behavior tracking/Plans enabled) and permission to Behavior Support >Add/Edit Behaviors, I will see the create button.

Paraprofessionals

  • Given I am a user with access to either Behavior Tracking or MTSS Interventions (all tools or Behavior tracking/Plans enabled) and permission to Data Tracking > Record Behaviors, I will see the Record Behavior button.

  • Given I am a user with access to either Behavior Tracking or MTSS Interventions (all tools or Behavior tracking/Plans enabled) and permission to Data Tracking > Record Behaviors, I will see the View button and be able to view behavior tracking.

  • If Behavior Tracking is selected from the side panel or top selection field, we show the Active Behavior Tracking tab as the default upon entry.

  • To be contained on list of Active behaviors:

    • Behavior tracking must be set up with completing of Behavior Selection, Define Behavior, Selection of Increase/Decrease, and a data collection method AND

    • a baseline must have been completed in Data Express OR tracking for goal(s) AND/OR objectives must have had at least one entry.

    • the behavior must be in an active state of tracking.

  • To get to an individual student’s Active and Inactive Behavior tracking, the user enters through Student Dashboard. (See Student Dashboard)

  • If the user selects Create new behavior they are taken to Select Behavior screen for Create behaviors to track.

  • If the user selects Record Behavior they are taken to Data express landing on the Behavior tab.

  • If the user selects View button (See image: Active) they are taken to View/Edit Behavior Tracking.

  • The list of active behaviors is organized by the behavior that has the most recently recorded data first and the others follow.

    • If multiple behaviors have been recorded on the same date (See image: Active tab for the first three behaviors), then we will show the behaviors in alphabetical order.

    • If a behavior is active but no data has been recorded (See image: Active tab for behavior “Yelling at teacher”, then we will show it at the bottom of the list with the three dashes to indicate no data has been recorded.

    • If multiple behaviors are active but no data has been recorded for each of them, they we will show those behaviors at the bottom of the list in alphabetical order.

  • Given the user is a paraprofessional (Role 2), they will not see the Create Behavior link. (See image: Active Tab)

 


Section 2: Inactive Tab

UI:

  • User selects Inactive from tab.

 

  • User sees list of inactive behaviors.

 

 

  • To view an inactive behavior (Archived or Mastered) the user clicks on View button.

 

 

 

Business Rules:

  • Users can navigate between Active, Draft and Inactive lists by clicking on tab.

  • The list of inactive behaviors is organized with the most recent date of status designation first through to the least recent date.

  • To be contained on the list of Inactive Behaviors:

    • the user must have changed the status from active to inactive by selecting Deactivate button and choosing Archive as the reason for deactivation from Create Behaviors to Track (See Select Behavior) or selecting Archived or Mastered from Edit Behaviors to Track.

  • If the user selects View button (See images: Archived, Mastered) they are taken to View/Edit Behavior Tracking.

 


Section 3: Empty States

UI:

Empty State: Active Behavior Tracking

  • User selects Behavior Tracking from Student Dashboard and no active behaviors have been created, they will see the empty state for active behaviors.

 

 

 

Empty State: Inactive Behavior Tracking

  • User selects Behavior Tracking from Student Dashboard and no inactive behaviors have been designated, they will see the empty state for inactive behaviors.

 

Business Rules:

  • Empty state for active Behavior tracking is shown if there are no active behaviors created in Create Behaviors to Track.

  • If there are no active behaviors created and currently being tracked, the Record Behavior link is NOT shown.

  • If there are no inactive behaviors designated in Create Behaviors to Track or Edit Behavior Tracking, then the empty state for inactive behaviors will show.

  • Given the user is a paraprofessional (Role 2), they will not see the Create Behavior link on the empty state screen. (See image: No active behavior tracking)
