Behavior Support: Completing Step 3-Antecedent Strategies
Reminder Note: Step 1 (Define Behavior) and Step 5 (Track Effectiveness) are the only REQUIRED steps to collect intervention data on a specific behavior.
Step 3 (Antecedent Strategies) is an OPTIONAL field and is not required for staff to collect baseline or intervention data on the behavior. This resource will provide an overview of Step 3 - Antecedent Behaviors.

1 | Once Steps 1 and 2 have been completed, click See Edit Options next the Step 3 to enter in antecedent strategies. | Â | What is written here can be seen by direct staff. This section is optional to fill out. |
2 | Within Step 3, you can add: Replacement Skills, Adaptive Skills, and/or Other Proactive Strategies | Â | All sections are optional. All sections will provide you with options based on the function(s) you identified for this behavior in Step 2. You can also write in your own information for these sections regardless of the prepopulated options. |
3 | Replacement Skills  Add replacement skills and select ADD TO PLAN |   | If you choose Select a Strategy or Search Lesson Library, this will automatically add a skill acquisition program to the Client Program tab If you use Add Custom Skill, you will have a free text box to write in information in your own words  |
