Instruction (SEL Lessons - Lesson Domains)

Design

• When the user is on the Lessons tab and selects Social Emotional Learning in the drop down and selects Instruction in the second drop down, they will see a table detailing usage for SEL lessons.

• We will also show a filter for Tier. The options are:

Business Rules

• This report will be available if any of the selected filter options have access to SEL lessons

• By default, we will sort alphabetically by domain. However, users should be able to sort by any column

• All Domains row will show the number of unique users who accessed learn/practice/dive deeper from any domain for at least 1 minute and number of students who completed videos/activities/quizzes, as well as the total # of views 1 minute or longer for learn/practice diver deeper and total number of student activities/videos/quizzes completed, based on filter selections

• The columns and sub-columns (i.e. Users | Views) need to remain static as a user scrolls down the page

• Any cell with 0 or NA will not be clickable.

• Tier

  • We will default to All Tiers. This will produce results for usage on both Tiers 1 & 2 and Tier 3 lessons

  • Selecting Tiers 1 & 2 will produce results for usage of Tiers 1 & 2 lessons only

  • Selecting Tier 3 lessons will produce results for usage of Tier 3 lessons only. Trauma lessons will not show when filtered to Tier 3

• Grade

  • We will default the grade filter to All Grades.

  • This filter is a single select filter.

  • Selecting a grade will filter to show usage based on the grade associated with the lesson

  • When filtered to All Tiers, all grade options listed will show

  • When filtered to Tiers 1 & 2, we will not show grade bands (PK-2, 3-5, 6-8, and 9-12)

  • When filtered to Tier 3, we will not show the individual grades. Instead, we will show All Grades, Grades PK-2, Grades 3-5, Grades 6-8, and Grades 9-12

• By default, we will sort alphabetically by domain. However, users should be able to sort by any column

• The columns and sub-columns (i.e. Users | Time Spent) need to remain static as a user scrolls down the page

• Learn

  • We will show Users | Views

  • Users will show the number of unique users who accessed the learn tab for at least 1 minute for any lesson for the specified domain/area/grade/tier within the date range

  • Views will show the # of times users were on the learn tab for at least 1 minute for any lesson for that domain/area/grade/tier within the date range

• Practice

  • We will show Users | Views

  • Users will show the number of unique users who accessed the practice tab for at least 1 minute for any lesson for the specified domain/area/grade/tier within the date range

  • Views will show the # of times users were on the practice tab for at least 1 minute for any lesson for that domain/area/grade/tier within the date range

• Dive Deeper

  • We will show Users | Views

• Quizzes

  • Students will show the number of unique students who completed a quiz for the specified domain/area/grade/tier within the date range

  • Quizzes will show the total number of quizzes completed for that domain/area/grade/tier within the date range

  • If no quizzes exist for a domain/area based on the grade and tier filters, the quiz column will show NA for students and quizzes

Export/Print

• Export

  • When the user clicks the export button, we will export the data for all tabs (using tabs in Excel or list in sections in CSV)

• Print

  • When the user clicks the print button, we will print based on the currently viewed tab

  • We will print the table as shown on the screen based on selections

  • We will not print the filters, side panel, pill tabs, or drop-down menu

  • We will show a title on the report of Social Emotional Learning INSERT TIER Lesson Instruction for INSERT GRADE from INSERT FILTER START DATE to INSERT FILTER END DATE

  • We will show a sub-title detailing the filter selections

UI

• If the user clicks on the numbers within a column, they will see a pop-up listing the names of the users/students who accessed that domain/area/grade/tier.

• Learn

  • Heading will read Users who taught Learn section for Social Emotional Learning

  • The sub-heading will list the domain, grade, and tiers

  • This report will list the name of each user who accessed learn tab for at least 1 minute for the given domain/area/grade/tier, and the number of times the user visited the learn screen for at least 1 minute, based on filter settings.

• Practice

  • Heading will read Users who taught Practice section for Social Emotional Learning

  • The sub-heading will list the domain, grade, and tiers

  • This report will list the name of each student who completed SEL videos for the given domain/area/grade/tier, and the number of videos the student completed, based on filter settings.

• Quizzes

  • Heading will read Students who completed Social Emotional Learning Quizzes

  • The sub-heading will list the domain, grade, and tiers

  • This report will list the name of each student who completed SEL quizzes for the given domain/area/grade/tier, and the number of quizzes the student completed, based on filter settings.

Business Rules

• For all lists of team members and students, we will show a load more button to decrease the amount of data we load at any given time.

• Pop-Up Modal will not be available at the district, region, or student levels

Export/Print

  • Team Member columns (learn, practice, and dive deeper)

    • When the user clicks the export button, we will export a report detailing the number of times each team member spent at least 1 minute on learn/practice/dive deeper for the selected domain/area

    • We will not include team members who did not access learn/practice/dive deeper for the selected domain/area

    • We will export for all tabs (ie buildings, roles, etc) at once & will add a column to display the tab selection (i.e. building name)

  • Student columns (Videos, Activities, Quizzes)

    • When the user clicks the export button, we will export a report detailing the number of videos/activities/quizzes each student completed from the selected area

    • We will not include students who did not access videos/activities/quizzes for the selected domain/area

    • We will export for all tabs (ie buildings, roles, etc) at once & will add a column to display the tab selection (i.e. building name)

• Print

  • We will print the report as it shows in the modal

Design

• If Student A belongs to Region A in September and views 3 videos and moves to Region B in October and views 0 videos, we will count the 3 videos under Region A and the 0 videos under Region B.

• If Student A is in Grade 3 in August and viewed 3 videos and then moved to Grade 4 in September and viewed 4 videos, we will count the 3 videos under Grade 3 and the 4 videos under Grade 4.

• Learn

  • Students will show the number of unique students at the building who completed an activity for the specified domain/area/grade/tier within the date range

  • Activities will show the total number of activities completed by students at the building for that domain/area/grade/tier within the date range

  • If a user clicks on the numbers in the students column, we will see a list of all students in the building who completed an activity for this domain/area/grade/tier within the date range.

• Quizzes

  • Students will show the number of unique students at the building who completed a quiz for the specified domain/area/grade/tier within the date range

  • Quizzes will show the total number of quizzes completed by students at the building for that domain/area/grade/tier within the date range

• If Student A is assigned to user with Role A in September and views 3 videos and is reassigned to users with Role B in October and views 0 videos, we will count the 3 videos under Role A and the 0 videos under Role B.

• If Student A is in Grade 3 in August and viewed 3 videos and then moved to Grade 4 in September and viewed 4 videos, we will count the 3 videos under Grade 3 and the 4 videos under Grade 4.

• Learn

  • Users will show the number of users assigned to the selected role at all accounts the user has access to who accessed the learn tab for at least 1 minute for any lesson for the specified domain/grade

  • Views will show the # times users assigned to the selected role at all accounts the user has access to spent viewing the learn tab for at least 1 minute for any lesson for that domain/grade

Business Rules

• This report will be available if any of the accounts the user has access to contain the selected team members have been allocated SEL SEL team member or student licenses.

• Grade filter will reset to All Grades and cannot be changed

• We will calculate usage for all team members/students active within the date range.

• If Student A is assigned to Team Member A in September and views 3 videos and is reassigned to Team Member B in October and views 0 videos, we will count the 3 videos under Team Member A and the 0 videos under Team Member B.

• Learn

  • Users will show 1 if the selected user accessed the learn tab for at least 1 minute for any lesson for the specified domain/grade within the date range. If not, we will show 0.

  • Views will show the # times the selected user spent viewing the learn tab for at least 1 minute for any lesson for that domain/grade

• Practice

  • Users will show 1 if the selected user accessed the practice tab for at least 1 minute for any lesson for the specified domain/grade within the date range. If not, we will show 0.

  • Views will show the # times the selected user spent viewing the practice tab for at least 1 minute for any lesson for that domain/grade

• Dive Deeper

  • Users will show 1 if the selected user accessed the dive deeper tab for at least 1 minute for any lesson for the specified domain/grade within the date range. If not, we will show 0.

  • Views will show the # times the selected user spent viewing the dive deeper tab for at least 1 minute for any lesson for that domain/grade

• Lesson Videos (Students)

  • Students will show the number of unique students assigned to the selected team member in all buildings the user has access to who viewed a video for the specified domain within the date range

  • Videos will show the total number of videos viewed by students assigned to the selected team member at all buildings the user has access to for that domain within the date range

  • If a user clicks on the numbers in this column, we will see a list of all students assigned to the selected team member at all buildings the user has access to who viewed a video for this domain within the date range.

• Activities

  • Students will show the number of unique students assigned to the selected team member in all buildings the user has access to who completed an activity for the specified domain within the date range

  • Activities will show the total number of activities completed by students assigned to the selected team member at all buildings the user has access to for that domain within the date range

  • If a user clicks on the numbers in this column, we will see a list of all students assigned to the selected team member at all buildings the user has access to who completed an activity for this domain within the date range.

• Quizzes

  • Students will show the number of unique students assigned to the selected team member in all buildings the user has access to who completed a quiz for the specified domain within the date range

  • Quizzes will show the total number of quizzes completed by students assigned to the selected team member at all buildings the user has access to for that domain within the date range

  • If a user clicks on the numbers in this column, we will see a list of all students assigned to the selected team member at all buildings the user has access to who completed a quiz for this domain within the date range.
