We need to add a new block in Account Settings to enable/disable the pre-loaded SEL student content.

User Story:

  • As an administrator, I want to choose if the students should/should not see the pre-populated SEL lessons

Acceptance Criteria:

  • Given I am a Role 7 user, and have visited Account Settings, I will see the Social Emotional Learning Content section

  • Given I am NOT a Roe 7 user, and have visited Account Settings, I will NOT see the Social Emotional Learning Content section

  • Given I am a Role 7 user with access to SEL SEL (SEL Lessons), and am viewing Account Settings, I will see the Social Emotional Learning Content section

  • Given I am a Role 7 user with NO access to SEL SEL (SEL Lessons), and am viewing Account Settings, I will NOT see the Social Emotional Learning Content section

  • Given I am a Role 7 user visiting Account Settings for the first time, and no other Role 7 user at my district has changed the settings, Social Emotional Learning Content will be set to Show

  • Given I am a Role 7 user viewing Account Settings, and any Role 7 user at my district has changed the Social Emotional Learning Content settings to Hide, I will see the setting as Hide

  • Given I am a student who is viewing the Lessons/Bonus area in the Student Center, and my district has set Social Emotional Learning Content to Show, I will see all Tier 1 & 2 pre-loaded SEL videos and activities for my current grade level, based on the SEL Topics enabled for my district

  • Given I am a student who is viewing the Lessons/Bonus area in the Student Center, and my district has set Social Emotional Learning Content to Hide, I will NOT see any SEL videos or activities that have not been assigned to me

General Concept

UI

  • We will add a new section in Account Settings called Social Emotional Learning Content

  • Here, admins can select if they would like to show or hide the pre-loaded SEL content in the student center

Business Rules

  • This section will show for Role 7 users only, and the setting will apply to all child accounts now & in the future

  • This section will only show if SEL SEL is enabled at the district or any of the district’s child accounts

  • By default, all accounts will be set to Show

  • When Show is selected, we will pre-load all grade-level Tier 1 & 2 SEL student videos and activities in the Student Center for all topics enabled on the account

  • When Hide is selected, we will not show the pre-loaded videos and activities
