Resizing Appointment Enhancements

On the Individual Calendar (Week View), the resizing feature has been enhanced to provide accurate error messaging and functionality.

Resizing Appointments without Completed Verifications/Session Note

  • On your desktop, navigate to the Individual Calendar (Week view)

  • Click and expand the top or bottom of the appointment to resize it

  • After resizing, you will see a pop-up confirming the date and time that the appointment will be moved to

    • To cancel the changes, click ‘Undo’

    • To move the appointment to the new date/time, click ‘Move’

Good to Know:

  • You must have permission to Edit Appointments and have access to the assigned client in order to resize an appointment

  • You can resize a single appointment or a single occurrence that is part of a series.

  • Appointment Series may not be resized.

  • Cancelled and archived appointments cannot be resized.

Scheduling Warnings

  • When you click ‘Move’, if the new date/time would cause scheduling errors, you will see existing appointment warning pop-ups

    • If you are still able to move the appointment without fixing the errors, the appointment warnings pop-up will give you the options to ‘Undo’, ‘Edit Appointment' or ‘Save Anyway’

      • To cancel changes, click ‘Undo’

      • To open the appointment and make edits, click ‘Edit Appointment’

      • To move the appointment without making any edits, click ‘Save Anyway’

    • If you are not able to move the appointment without fixing the errors, the appointment warnings pop-up will give you the options to ‘Undo’ or ‘Edit Appointment’

      • To cancel changes, click ‘Undo’

      • To open the appointment and fix errors, click ‘Edit Appointment’

  • Users without ‘Edit Verified Appointments’ Permission:

    • Once an appointment has a completed verification (staff, parent, and/or principal) or a completed session note, you will not be able resize the appointment.

  • Users with ‘Edit Verified Appointments’ Permission:

    • Staff Verification: If an appointment has a completed staff verification, you will not be able to resize the appointment.

    • Parent/Principal Verification/Session Note: If an appointment has been parent and/or principal verified or has a completed session note, you will be able to resize the appointment but will receive a warning that that verification and session note timestamps will not be updated.

Good to Know:

  • Cancelled and archived appointments cannot be resized

  • The same rules apply when users are opening and editing the appointment.
