Task Analysis Improvements
Rethink has just launched some great new features with Task Analysis Data Collection. See the step by steps guides and videos below for VIEWING ALL STEPS OF A TASK ANALYSIS & when entering MULTIPLE OPPORTUNITIES FOR TASK ANALYSIS DATA COLLECTION.
Task Analysis Improvements Video Overview :
Viewing All Steps of a Task Analysis:
All types of chains with and without prompts now show all steps of the tasks analysis:
If data doesn’t need to be collected on specific steps (forward and backward chain), the data collection button is hidden or grayed out (mobile app), but still displays the step of the chain.
Description | Details | Good to Know! | |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Forward Chain All steps are viewable when entering data on a forward chain, with and without prompts. | See images below of how a forward chain will display on the website and mobile app: Website: Mobile App:
| *Once a step is mastered it will automatically be available for data entry on the website or app. *Inactive steps are grayed out and not available for data entry on the mobile app. |
2 | Backward Chain All steps are viewable when entering data on a backwards chain, with and without prompts. | See images below of how a backward chain will display on the website and mobile app: Website: Mobile App | Once a step is mastered it will automatically be available for data entry on the website or app. |
3 | Total Task All steps are viewable when entering data on a Total Task with and without prompts.
| See images below of how a total task chain will display on the website and mobile app: Website: Mobile App:
| Once a step is mastered it will automatically be available for data entry on the website or app. |
Data Entry for Task Analysis with Multiple Opportunities:
When entering data on a task analysis program, you are able to enter multiple opportunities within a session. The multiple opportunities are calculated as a session average for that specific program.
Description | Details | Good to Know! | |
---|---|---|---|
1 | Multiple Opportunities on the Website: How to enter tasks analysis data with with multiple opportunities on the website:
| Website view: Add button When entering task analysis data for any type of chain (with and without prompts) and another opportunity is needed for data entry, click on the add button to begin a new opportunity. Once you have added a new opportunity, you will see that you have 1 opportunity saved. You can then continue adding as many opportunities for that session. Once you have added all opportunities for that session, pressing save will calculate all opportunities as an average and graph them in view data. Reset Button The reset button will allow you to go back to the previous opportunity and view/edit the previous opportunity. You can reset to the previous opportunity or opportunities that came before it by continuing to press the reset button. Once you press the reset button you can clear the opportunity or add a new opportunity. *Critical * If you press reset and you have data entered for a current opportunity, pressing reset will delete all data for the current opportunity. Clear Button The clear button will clear/delete all steps of the current opportunity on the screen, if you need to clear a previous set of steps, pressing reset and clear will allow you to do this.
| *Entering in multiple opportunities for task analysis will calculate and graph an average for that session. *Each opportunity entered will be saved in the details of view data when saving or syncing, |
2 | Mobile App: Entering tasks analysis data with with multiple opportunities on the mobile app:
| On the mobile app, you can also enter multiple opportunities with task analysis data collection. Similar to the website, you will see an add button, reset button, and a clear button. Add button When entering task analysis data for any type of chain (with and without prompts) and another opportunity is needed for data entry, click on the add button to begin a new opportunity. Once you have added a new opportunity on the app, you will see that you have 1 Count saved. You can then continue adding as many opportunities for that session by clicking on the add button. Once you have added all opportunities for that session the app will save all opportunities entered. Reset Button Similar to the website, you will see a Reset Button on the mobile app. The reset button will allow you to go back to the previous count/opportunity and view/edit the previous opportunity. You can reset to the previous count/ opportunity or opportunities that came before it by continuing to press the reset button. Once you press the reset button you can clear the opportunity or add a new opportunity. Critical * If you press reset and you have data entered for a current opportunity, pressing reset will delete all data for the current opportunity.
| *Entering multiple opportunities on the mobile app is similar to the website, once you sync the data an average is calculated and all opportunities can be viewed in view data. |
3 | Maintenance Data Collection with TA and multiple opportunities:
| Task Analysis Maintenance with multiple opportunities on website: When entering maintenance data collection, you can enter multiple opportunities on mastered program. The data entry will look the same as the TA programs as outlined above but will have the maintenance label on it. Task Analysis Maintenance with multiple opportunities on mobile app:
| *Once a forward or backward chain has been mastered and moved to maintenance, all steps of the chain will be presented in maintenance. If the forward or backward chain needs to be reintroduced, the first or last step of each each chain will be presented. |
4 | Viewing Graphs in view data, analyze data, and funder reports | View Data and Analyze Data: Once multiple opportunities have been entered on programs, data can be viewed in view data, analyze data, and funder reports View Data: Task Analysis without Prompts: When viewing graphs in view data after entering multiple opportunities for a task analysis, you can look at performance data or % of opportunities, a step graph, and the details of each opportunity entered. Performance graph - displays % of opportunities and the goal Step Detail Graph - displays steps of the TA for that trial set. Green indicates a correct response, red indicates an incorrect response, and a combination of green and red indicate both correct & incorrect responses were recorded for that step across multiple opportunities. Task Analysis with Prompts When viewing graphs in view data after entering multiple opportunities for a task analysis, you can look at your performance data - % of opportunities, a step graph, and the details of each opportunity entered. Performance graph - displays % of opportunities and the goal Step Detail graph - displays steps of TA and the most restrictive prompt used for the trial set.

5 | Exporting task analysis graphs/data in view data and analyze data
| If you need to export data after entering multiple opportunities for a task analysis program, this can be done in view data and analyze data In VIEW DATA you have the option to export the following ways: Graph only, Graph and Data, or a PDF image export. In ANALYZE DATA you have the option to export the following ways: Exports to CSV, Excel or a graph/PDF image. You can also print and image by pressing the print button. PRINT - PDF IMAGE: CSV: EXCEL: GRAPH/PDF:
| View Data Exports: In view data, the printing options includes one with graphs and onE without graphs. both printing options include a PDF with all raw data entered. The export graph image button includes both the performance and the steps graph for the goal.
Analyze Data Exports: In analyze data, you have both exporting and printing options as well. The printing option consists of a PDF print out of both the performance graph, steps graph, and maintenance graph (if entered). The export options consist of the following options: CSV, EXCEL, & PDF GRAPH IMAGE (which includes all graphs mentioned above). |
