Staff Member General Information Fields Explained

Staff General Information is the area that contains required and optional fields when adding a new staff member. This resource thoroughly explains each option available.

BACB Id

Optional

Company Staff ID

Optional

  • A placeholder in the system allowing companies to add their own internal staff ID

  • Will pull onto the Billing Export Report that can be downloaded into Excel from the Reporting Dashboard

Show RBT

Defaults based on products/services purchased

  • If checked, staff can see the RBT resources in the Resource and Training center

Show Scheduling

Defaults based on products/services purchased

  • If checked, staff can see the Scheduling tab and their calendar

Status

Required

  • Select a status as created within the company account

  • If you choose an inactive status, the staff member will not be able to log in

Username

Required

  • Requirement is to have at least 6 characters

Password

Required

  • Must be at least 8 characters

  • Have at least one upper case

  • Have at least one lower case

  • Have at least one special character

  • Have at least one digit

Name

Required

  • Staff member’s first and last name

DOB

Optional

  • Date of Birth

Phone

Optional

  • Staff Member’s phone number

Address

Optional

  • Staff Member’s home address

Time Zone

Required

  • Staff Member’s time zone

Location(s)/Facilities

Required

  • Staff members can have access to multiple locations

Employee Type

  • Options will populate if created under the Company Account>Staff Member Settings

  • Examples of potential Employee Types: Part Time, Full Time, Contract Worker

  • Used for tracking purposes

Title

Required

  • Options will populate from the titles set up under the Company Account>Staff Member Settings

  • A title in Rethink is not the same thing as a professional credential

  • A title is assigned to a role type which gives staff member’s permissions to certain areas of the rethink account

Email

Required

  • Staff Member’s email - Usually their work email

NPI Number

Optional

  • Best practice is to add the NPI number; By having the NPI number listed, that staff member will auto populate in a drop down when choosing a client’s rendering provider under their authorization

Medicaid ID

Optional

  • If EVV state — add in Medicaid ID number

  • This information does not pull through into the Billing Export Report

Practitioner ID

Optional

  • The Practitioner ID pertains to BHPN (Behavioral Health Provider Network) customers

  • Pulls through on the BHPN Invoice Report that can be pulled from the Reporting Dashboard

  • This should be an alphanumeric field with max length of 20 characters

Taxonomy Code

Optional

  • A taxonomy code is a unique 10-character code that designates your classification and specialization

  • You will use this code when applying for a National Provider Identifier (NPI)

  • Needed for a Medicare provider

Supervisor

Optional

  • If listed, supervisors will be notified when a staff member completes a session note in their Tasks & Notifications tab in case they want to mark it as reviewed

Add Service Line

Optional

  • Pulls through to the Group Calendar for filtering purposes

  • Pulls through to the “Staff Member by Service Line” Report in the Reporting Dashboard which shows how many staff members are assigned to each service line

Staff Photo

  • Add a photo of that staff member to have on file
