Understanding Service Lines and Services

In Rethink, Service Lines should be thought of as the specialty of services or high level programs that your practice offers. Examples of Service Lines that your practice offers could be ABA, OT, Early Intervention, Speech, etc.

Services, are therefore the services you will provide for ANY Service Line or Specialty you offer. For example, if you have a service line of ABA the services you offer may include: Assessment, Supervision, Direct Therapy, etc. These services will be what you attach to billing codes when setting up your funders.

Adding Service Lines and Services to your Company Account

1)  Go to your Company Account:

2) Select Service Lines from the menu on the left:

3) Click +Service Line on the right to create a Service Line with an optional description

  • By default, the Service Line will become Active. To make a Service Line Inactive, Uncheck the “Active” Field

  • From this page, you can Edit or Remove Service Lines

    • Please note, Service Lines can only be removed if they are not yet attached to Funders

4) Scroll down to Services and click +Service on the right to enter a Service Name and add “0” for Base Rate for that Service. (The Base Rate holds NO FUNCTIONALITY so best practice recommendation is to add “0”)

  • By default the Service will become Active. To make Service Inactive, Uncheck the "Active" Field

  • Can Edit and Remove Services from this page

    • Please note, you can only remove a service if it is not attached to any funders yet

TIP: Keep your service names to a minimum. The same service names can be used for different funders and billing codes. These service names will be what your staff select when scheduling along with the billing code that is later added on during the funder setup.
